PopSugar MustHave February 2015

PopSugar MustHave is a monthly lifestyle subscription box. I call it a Christmas stocking in a box and I look forward to it every month.  It's filled with items that I might not purchase for myself, but that I will use and love. Just a bit of luxury.

The usual subscription box is $39.99/month, but if you purchase 3 or 6 month subscriptions, there is a little discount. And, they have discounts every month if you find the codes. This month's discount code is MUSTHAVE5 for $5 off your subscription.  Black Friday they had a special for $75 off a 6-month subscription. So, my $214.70 ($35.78/box) came to 139.70 ($23.28/box). Not a bad deal when you consider all that's in it.

As usual, I stalked spoilers and reviews.  Shipping went out early this month and some people had their boxes in hand by around the 6th. Knowing what was coming, I was looking forward to the package arrival. I checked my account and was happy that mine was expected on the 12th. How surprised was I for delivery on the 11th? Each box comes with a card that details the items included and the inspiration for the box. This did have a really great Valentine's Day theme, in my opinion.
As I opened the package, I was happy to see that everything was packed nice and tidy.

Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush: I've heard great things about this blush and was looking forward to trying it. I've never used Tarte products before. But, I checked the ingredient list and was sad that it contains Lanolin and I don't used animal based products. So, I gifted this to a friend who is the regular recipient of my box "extras." She enjoys it. Retail $26.

U,.S. Apothecary Rose Water Bubble Bath: This came in the box in the box. Some people find rose scents a little heavy and they can be sometimes. I, on the other hand, enjoy a light rose scent and this is light. I love the bottle and think it's very pretty to just sit on my bathtub waiting for the next use. I really love a nice bubble bath in a pretty bottle. Retail $30

ACME Party Box Company Bamboo Heart Cutting Board & Cheese Knife: It's nice to receive a gift that is unique and special. While I may not use it for cheese, I will definitely get use out of the cute heart shaped cutting board and the knife can be used for other spreads. I don't have a lot of entertaining items, so I think this will be a cute addition to add a little flair at my next gathering. Retail $32.

BaubleBar Mini Arrow Pendant Necklace: This is such a sweet dainty necklace and I've been wearing dainty necklaces recently. It has a little sparkle that I really like. I received silver, some people received gold. I seem to wear more silver so I was happy, but I wouldn't have been upset with either color. Retail $32

Fig & Rough 100% Natural Balm: I admit it, I have lots of lip balm and lip gloss and lip stains, but I don't mind getting more. I'm used to using a tin and don't mind it either. I received Pomengranate and really love the flavor. The balm is very smooth and creamy. It goes right to the handbag. Retail $8

Chuao Chocolatier Ravishing Rocky Road Bar: I've heard amazing things about this bar, but wasn't so sure I would enjoy it as I don't eat marshmallows because of the gelatin content. How happy was I to see that the marshmallows are vegan!!!! But, alas, still contains dairy so I gifted it to a friend who ate it in one setting and said it was fantastic. Retail $6

A Special Extra (I think it means sponsored) item in this box was Sally Beauty FingerPaints Nail Color. It's supposed to be almost like a gel color and expected to provide long-lasting coverage in one coat. I had seen red and darker pinks, but I was really really happy with Pink Imagination. It goes on very light pink with a little shimmer. It would be great as a french manicure base and it's subtle and neutral enough that I might be able to wear it at work sometimes. Retail $5.50

Overall, $139.50 worth of items for $23.28, I love the value and the curation.  I think it's a great value and I love receiving things I "want" but don't "need." I think each box is getting better and better. I'm definitely not disappointed. Feel free to use my link to subscribe. And save $5 with MUSTHAVE5. Thanks and enjoy.
